A Working Title
I was inspired today by a dear friend of mine who has a running blog of life around him. I am hoping to do the same to hopefully document my life and thoughts since it is becoming obvious to me that there will never be any sort of documentary based on my own life (lol).
I have chosen the title “The Inner Light” not because I believe that for any reason that any of my thoughts expressed here will enlighten anyone but rather the title comes from a Beatles tune that I discovered late in life. I grew up a Beatles fan and after I had listened to what I had thought was every Beatles song at least a hundred times, I happened to bump into this lesser known classic while driving to meet my family on vacation one summer. It was as if The fab Four had put out a new song.
You know when you have a favorite artist and you listen to them over and over, and though you still enjoy the melodies and you know every song by heart, they still become a bit monotonous after a while? Well this is how The Beatles had become for me. Discovering “The Inner Light” brought a smile to my face and I remembered exactly why I loved this group so much.
This by no means is meant to be a Beatles blog but a hope that in the same way that “The Inner Light” made me stop for a moment a remember the things that brought joy to my life. I hope to be able to document the things that happen in my life and hopefully when I am old and greyer I can scroll thru these posts and hope that I can rustle up the things that have brought an “Inner Light” to my own life.
Oh, and maybe a few of these posts will spark a few “Inner Lights” to those that may follow along this journey.
